How to report an error
Email [email protected] with the page URL and, if possible, a public source that supports the correction. See our editorial method for the kind of sourcing we look for — a national standard, a government registry entry or comparable independently checkable reference carries more weight than a retailer description or a general claim.
What happens next
We review the report against the page's existing sources. If the claim is wrong or out of date, we correct it and update the page's lastReviewedAt date. If a correction changes a claim that was central to the page (for example, a geographic-indication scope or a standard number), we note the change directly on the page rather than silently editing it.
What this does not cover
Tasting notes are individual tendencies, not claims of fact, so differing tasting experiences are not corrections. Legend or tradition explicitly labeled as such (for example, an origin story) is presented as tradition, not as a factual claim, and reporting that it is "just a legend" will not change how it is labeled — it is already labeled that way on purpose.
